Comic of the week: Deadpool Corps

 

Everybody knows the Green Lantern Corps, but now I will present you a much more interesting and fun team ... ... The Deadpool Corps!

Although I've never read any Comics with Deadpool (much less with Deadpool Corps), I chose the first volume of this team (published between 2010 and 2011, written by Victor Gischler and illustrated by Marat Mychaels and Matt Yackey), because It is a team with members from various alternate realities of our friend Deadpool, where once again there's the intersection of counterparts where humor is highly present, coming from the most schizophrenic character of all time.

Without wanting to give too many spoilers, if someone wants to read this arc, the volume takes place around the Deadpools' team of different universes coming together to cause Deadpoolesque carnage around the galaxy, as they embark on a suicide mission against a confederation where everything is ridiculed, since kissing our feminine self, with the head of a counterpart of ours seeing, till the ignorance of the main Deadpool to use a ring of power, while the Kidpool plays with a kind of lighsaber.

If in the future this team gets new comics, both in Portugal Portuguese or English, it will be an acquisition to take into account, till then, I'll keep reading the pages of Marvel Wikia.
